We
were invited by BBC Radio Lincolnshire to carry out
an investigation in what was the old Radion Theatre
bulding. There had been several reports of paranormal
activity and we were asked to check it out in the
days leading up to Halowe'en.
Initial
Findings Prior To Setting Up The Recording Equipment.
When we first walked around the building with Peter,
there were certain areas which had a feeling that
we were being watched. These areas included the Garage
at the rear of the building, the walkway above the
reception area, Room 101 and the adjacent kitchen
area, and one of the studios (Rod Whiting's).
Temperature and EMF (Electro-Magnetic Field) readings
were taken as we walked around all of these areas.
Temperatures were pretty stable throughout but we
noticed Room 101 was colder than any other area. We
were expecting pretty high EMF readings due to the
amount of electrical apparatus in use around the building,
EMF readings were actually a lot lower than we had
anticipated.
Setting Up of Recording Equipment.
We set up night-vision camcorders and digital voice
recorders in the Garage at the rear of the building,
Room 101 and Rod Whiting's studio. We decided against
putting any equipment on the walkway above the entrance
due to the ambient noise. Whilst setting up in Room
101 we had one sudden spike of EMF which coincided
with a voice captured on 2 digital voice recorders
and one of the camcorders saying "Behind You".
This was the first of many EVPs (Electronic Voice
Phenomena) we captured throughout the evening.
Results.
We have reviewed the footage we recorded in all areas
and overall, the results were positive.
Workshop Studio
Nothing captured on camcorder, however we got a very
interesting EVP in here saying "Will come Saturday"
(What day is Halloween on this year).
Room 101 and Kitchen
Nothing to report captured on camcorder, however we
had very good results caught on the digital voice
recorders. Numerous EVPs were captured in both Room
101 and the adjacent kitchen area including the name
Helen.
Garage Area
Again, nothing caught on the camcorder but a number
of EVPs captured on the digital voice recorders.
Most notably we had somebody mimicking Tony as he
spoke, a voice saying "I kissed her", and
another commenting on Jordan's camcorder which was
set up on the stairs saying "That's nearly falling"
and then "Make it vibrate" - somebody had
a sense of humour!! During the "lock-off"
period we picked up on the name Ian.
Rod Whiting's Studio
Rod should be relieved to hear nothing was caught
on camcorder or on the voice recorder whilst recording
in this area.
Conclusion
We have recorded audible evidence of several different
voices in both Room 101 and the Rear garage area.
The Shadow Seekers would like to thank BBC Radio Lincolnshire
for inviting us to carry out our investigation and
also say a big Thank you for the hospitality shown
during our visits.
